Day-By-Day Itinerary

Day1

Arrival & Check-In

Day2

Breakfast & Sossusvlei Tour

After an early breakfast, head out for a full day at Sossusvlei, home to some of the tallest sand dunes on Earth, their red hue deepening as the sun climbs. Continue on to Dead Vlei, a stark white clay pan scattered with centuries-old camelthorn trees, scorched black and perfectly preserved by the bone-dry desert air.

Day3

Transfer To Swakopmund

Drive west across changing desert terrain to reach the Atlantic coast at Swakopmund, a town with a distinct German-colonial character and a cool sea breeze that’s a welcome contrast to the desert heat. In the afternoon, join a flamingo excursion along the coastal lagoons, where flocks of greater and lesser flamingos gather to feed in the shallows.

Day4

Breakfast & Desert Tour

This morning’s Living Desert tour takes you into the dunes just outside town with a specialist tracker, uncovering small desert-adapted creatures most visitors would walk straight past — geckos that dive beneath the sand, chameleons changing color underfoot, and side-winding snakes leaving their signature trail across the dunes. The rest of the day is free to explore Swakopmund’s seaside promenade, cafes and curio shops.
