Where To Go & When
One full day covers the Falls themselves plus one add-on activity. Three to four days lets you add a Chobe day trip or short Botswana safari. Six or more days is enough for a proper multi-day Botswana or Zimbabwe circuit, and eight or more days if you want to add Namibia or the Okavango Delta.
June to August offers the best balance of water flow and comfortable weather. September to December is best for activities like Devil’s Pool and for game viewing, while February to May shows the Falls at their most powerful.
May to October (dry season) offers the clearest skies and easiest travel conditions, and is the most popular window for photographing Sossusvlei and visiting Etosha. November to March brings warmer, greener landscapes with fewer visitors.
May to September (dry season) is best for game viewing, as wildlife concentrates around the permanent waterways and mokoro access is at its best.
Yes — this is one of our most popular routes. Kasane, Botswana is roughly a 1.5–2 hour transfer from Victoria Falls, and we regularly build combined itineraries that continue on into Namibia.
A day trip is the right call if you only have one spare day or a limited budget — you still get a river cruise and a game drive. A multi-day package is worth it if you want two full days of game viewing instead of a rushed half-day, or want to add the Okavango Delta, since that genuinely requires an overnight stay.

Quotes, Deposits & Payment
Every safari is quoted individually based on your dates, group size, budget and accommodation preferences. Fill in the enquiry form, WhatsApp us, or email bookings@ubuntuafricasafaris.com and we’ll send a tailored quote.
For peak season (July–October) we recommend booking 2–3 months ahead, especially for fly-in camps in the Okavango Delta. Day trips and transfers can often be arranged with much shorter notice.
Yes — every package on this site is a starting point. Tell us your interests, budget and dates and we’ll build something entirely custom.
Budget trips use camping or simple lodges and shared activities, typically $80–$150 per person per day. Mid-range trips use comfortable riverfront lodges with private game drives, around $250–$450 per day. Luxury trips add premium lodges and Okavango Delta or Namibia fly-in camps, from $450–$900+ per day.
A 60% deposit is required to confirm your booking, with the remaining balance due before travel — we’ll confirm the exact balance due date on your booking confirmation.
We accept bank transfer, credit/debit card, PayPal and cash on arrival for balances or day trips.
Tipping is entirely at your discretion. As a general guideline, we recommend around 10% for guides and drivers.

Refunds are based on how much notice you give before your travel date:
60+ days before travel: full refund, excluding bank charges
30–59 days before travel: 75% refund
14–29 days before travel: 50% refund
7–13 days before travel: 25% refund
Inside 7 days of travel: no refund
Visas & Borders
Documents & Border Crossings
Most nationalities can use the KAZA UniVisa, which covers both Zimbabwe and Zambia and allows day trips into Botswana. We’ll confirm requirements for your specific nationality.
Typically the KAZA UniVisa (Zimbabwe/Zambia, with Botswana day access) plus a separate Namibia entry. Requirements vary by nationality.
A valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity. Most nationalities do not need a separate Botswana visa if they hold a KAZA UniVisa or standard Zimbabwe/Zambia visa — we’ll confirm your specific requirement when you book.
Kasane is roughly 80km from Victoria Falls, a 1.5–2 hour drive including the Kazungula border crossing between Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Transfers
Getting Around
The most common route is a road transfer via the Kazungula border post into Kasane. We arrange the vehicle, driver and border assistance so you don’t need to manage the logistics yourself.
Both options are available on every route. Private transfers give you full flexibility on timing; shared transfers run on a more limited schedule at a lower cost.
Yes — all of our multi-day safari packages already include the relevant transfers. Standalone transfer bookings are also available for travelers who just need a lift.

No — Ubuntu African Safaris does not offer or support elephant riding. This is an ethical, on-foot encounter where you walk alongside habituated elephants at a respectful distance, guided by their handlers.
Yes — this is a hosted visit, not a performance. Village residents choose to welcome visitors and are compensated for their time and hospitality; your guide introduces you properly and sets expectations on both sides so the visit feels like a genuine exchange, not an intrusion.
