No doors, no windows, no windscreen — just you, a pilot and an open-air ultralight aircraft banking low over the full curtain of Victoria Falls and the Batoka Gorge. It’s the closest, most unfiltered aerial view of the Falls available, launched from the Zambia side near Livingstone.

Overview
The microlight flight departs from an airfield on the Zambia side, near Livingstone, and gives easily the most exposed aerial view of Victoria Falls available — you sit behind the pilot in an open-frame ultralight aircraft with nothing between you and the view. For photographers and thrill-seekers alike, it’s a genuinely different experience from an enclosed helicopter cabin.
Two flight lengths are available: a 12–15 minute flight covering the Falls and the Batoka Gorge directly, or a 25 minute flight that extends further along the Zambezi for a longer look at the river and surrounding landscape.
What To Expect
Arrive at the airfield on the Zambia side, get weighed for seat allocation, and receive a safety briefing before boarding the open-air microlight.
Lift off and fly low and open-air over Victoria Falls and the Batoka Gorge — no doors or windows, just you, the pilot and the view.
Touch back down at the airfield — the whole experience, door to door, takes about an hour including check-in.
