Day1

Arrival, Check In & Sunset Cruise

Met on arrival and transferred to Shoestrings Backpackers Campsite, your base for the next two nights. After a pre-departure briefing to walk you through the days ahead, settle in before an afternoon sunset cruise on the Zambezi — the easiest possible introduction to this river.

Day2

Tour Of The Falls & Boma Dinner

A guided walking tour through the rainforest opposite Victoria Falls, taking in the Cataracts, the Livingstone statue and the birdlife and plant life that thrive in the spray zone. The afternoon is free for optional extras — a helicopter flight over the Falls or a zip line are popular add-ons — before a 7pm dinner at the Boma Restaurant, with traditional entertainment alongside the meal.

Transfer To Chobe, Botswana

A road transfer west into Botswana, roughly 100km to Chobe National Park — home to Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. Check in for two nights at Kwalape Safari Lodge Camp, with breakfast, dinner and game viewing included.

Chobe Full Day Safari

An early morning game drive from 6:00am to 9:45am, with tea and coffee served en route — this is the best window for big cats. Back at camp for a full breakfast around 9:30–10am, then an afternoon Chobe sunset cruise from 3pm, drifting close enough to hippo and crocodile to watch them from the boat.

Transfer To Elephant Sands

Around 250km from Chobe/Kasane brings you to Elephant Sands, a bush lodge and campsite built around a natural waterhole — elephants come to drink right in front of the lodge, often just meters from where you’re sitting. Breakfast and dinner included.

Transfer To Nata & The Okavango Delta

A road transfer through the town of Nata toward the Okavango Delta — a vast wetland system of rivers, channels, islands and lagoons unlike anywhere else on the continent. Lunch is served at Planet Baobab en route, with dinner at Audi Camp, your base for the night before the Delta leg begins. Afternoon optional activities include scenic viewing over the Delta.

Okavango Delta Camping

The start of a 2-night, 3-day Okavango Delta experience by mokoro (traditional dugout canoe) and on foot. This leg is fully inclusive of all meals, camping equipment, a dedicated guide and cook, tents and transfers into and out of the Delta, with professional local guides accompanying you throughout.

Okavango Delta Experience

Local guides share the culture and stories of the area over breakfast, then it’s out on a game walk through the Delta — elephant, zebra, giraffe and antelope are all regularly seen on foot here. You’ll exit the Delta by mokoro and arrive back at the campsite in the afternoon.

May to October (the dry season) is the strongest window for this route — wildlife concentrates along the Chobe River and around Elephant Sands’ waterhole, and the Okavango Delta’s channels are typically at their most navigable by mokoro.
