Overview

Trip Overview

Livingstone Island sits right on the edge of Victoria Falls, on the Zambian side, and is one of the few places you can stand at the exact point where the Zambezi River tips over the lip of the Falls. A short boat transfer takes you out to the island, where a table is set for a plated meal — breakfast, lunch or high tea — with the roar and spray of the Falls as the backdrop.

In the low-water months (roughly late August to early January), the same trip includes guided access to Devil’s Pool, a natural rock pool right at the edge of the Falls where you can safely swim to the lip and look straight down — one of the most talked-about experiences in Southern Africa.
