Swap the safari vehicle for a saddle and ride quietly through the bushveld near Victoria Falls, with routes built for absolute beginners and for confident, experienced riders alike, moving alongside kudu, giraffe and general game at a pace no engine can match.

Overview
Horses move through the bush more quietly than any vehicle, and this horseback safari near Victoria Falls takes advantage of that to bring you closer to general game — kudu, giraffe, zebra and more — without the noise or dust of a game drive. We run two separate routes: a gentle, guided route for novice and first-time riders, and a longer, faster-paced route for experienced riders comfortable at a canter.
Whichever route you join, an experienced horse guide leads the ride and keeps a safe, respectful distance from all wildlife throughout — this is about moving through the bush the way animals themselves do, not about getting dangerously close to anything wild.
What To Expect
Meet your guide, get matched to a suitable horse based on your riding experience and confirm whether you’re on the novice or experienced route, followed by a safety briefing.
Set out at a pace suited to your route — a relaxed walk-and-trot for novices, or extended trot and canter stretches for experienced riders — alongside kudu, giraffe and general game.
Head back to the stables, unsaddle, and transfer back to your Victoria Falls accommodation.
