Dinner Cruise On The Zambezi River

The longest and most substantial of Ubuntu African Safaris’ Zambezi cruises pairs the classic sundowner with a full plated dinner served on board as the boat drifts from golden hour into the dark. Watch the sun set over the river’s islands with a drink in hand, then sit down to a proper three-course meal as the Zambezi carries you into the evening.

Overview

Cruise Overview

The Dinner Cruise starts the same way as our Sundowner Cruise — boarding at the jetty, a welcome drink, and a slow cruise along the Zambezi River above Victoria Falls as the light turns gold. But rather than heading back once the sun is down, the boat keeps going: tables are set, and a full plated dinner is served course by course as the Zambezi carries you on into the evening.

It’s the fullest version of a Victoria Falls evening on the water — sunset, wildlife along the banks in the fading light, and then a proper sit-down dinner rather than just snacks. At roughly two and a half hours door-to-jetty-to-door, it’s the most substantial of the three Zambezi cruises, and the one best suited to travelers who want to make a full evening of it.

Around 2.5–3 hours in total, boarding before sunset and returning after dark once dinner has been served — the longest of Ubuntu African Safaris’ Zambezi cruise options.
Smart-casual is fine — there’s no strict dress code, but it’s worth bringing a light jacket or wrap, since it cools off on the water once the sun has gone down.
