The longest and most substantial of Ubuntu African Safaris’ Zambezi cruises pairs the classic sundowner with a full plated dinner served on board as the boat drifts from golden hour into the dark. Watch the sun set over the river’s islands with a drink in hand, then sit down to a proper three-course meal as the Zambezi carries you into the evening.

Overview
The Dinner Cruise starts the same way as our Sundowner Cruise — boarding at the jetty, a welcome drink, and a slow cruise along the Zambezi River above Victoria Falls as the light turns gold. But rather than heading back once the sun is down, the boat keeps going: tables are set, and a full plated dinner is served course by course as the Zambezi carries you on into the evening.
It’s the fullest version of a Victoria Falls evening on the water — sunset, wildlife along the banks in the fading light, and then a proper sit-down dinner rather than just snacks. At roughly two and a half hours door-to-jetty-to-door, it’s the most substantial of the three Zambezi cruises, and the one best suited to travelers who want to make a full evening of it.
What To Expect
Board at the jetty in the late afternoon, welcome drink in hand, as the boat eases out onto the Zambezi and the sunset light begins to build.
As the sun sets, tables are laid and a three-course plated dinner is served while the boat continues cruising gently along the river.
The boat cruises on into the early evening after dinner is cleared, before returning to the jetty for your transfer back.
